Atlantic County Program Supports Hundreds of Cats Per Day

Our ongoing program with the Humane Society of Atlantic County is providing spay and neuter, including as part of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), vaccinations, cat food, and more care to thousands of cats and kittens!

Leo and Cali are among some of the newest cats to receive care—just in time for kitten season. Ensuring cats are spayed or neutered now is crucial to Beat The Heat.

In addition, our community cat food bank in the area is feeding an incredible 800-825 cats every single day. To say these resources have been irreplaceable to the community is an understatement!

THANK YOU to our supporters for helping us make this lifesaving impact for cats in New Jersey (and far beyond).

We have big plans to support food and veterinary resources for cats in more communities this year, so keep watching for updates. If you aren’t yet, we encourage you to follow us on… FacebookXInstagramLinkedIn, Bluesky, and Threads.

Exciting Opportunities to Ban Cat Declawing

States like California are introducing bills to ban cat declawing! Alley Cat Allies is in full support of laws to prohibit this cruel, ineffective procedure that can cause long-lasting harm to cats.

We’ll be in touch on how you can take action to support declaw bans like California’s. We also encourage you to educate your friends, family and community to Keep Cats’ Claws On Their Paws.

Little Red in a Big World

Little Red isn’t so little anymore! Now into his teen years, Little Red is one of many cats who have been cared for and protected by the Alley Cat Allies team through their long, happy lives.

We provide every cat we help, Little Red included, with any needed veterinary care (including, of course, spay or neuter).

And, we work to improve access to critical resources like low-cost spay and neuter, #TNR, cat food banks, and more in communities—especially ones that are underserved.

We can’t do it without your support. Every gift makes a lifesaving difference for cats.

Aster and Orchid: Kitten Ambassadors

If you’ve been following us, you’ve seen these adorable faces before! We’re glad to say that today, siblings Aster and Orchid are so far from the sickly kittens we rescued from cruel conditions in a shelter.

Now, they’ve become quite the little Alley Cat Allies ambassadors, helping nervous cats get comfortable and come out of their shells.

Our supporters like you are the reason we could save their lives. Thank you, always, for your compassion and dedication!

More from Our Work to Protect Puerto Rico’s Cats

We wanted to share more snapshots of our work on the ground in Puerto Rico this past week. Together with the people of Puerto Rico, our supporters like you, and advocates worldwide, we are defending the community cats of San Juan from the U.S. National Park Service.

Our team will be back on the ground in Puerto Rico this week to provide more veterinary care and food to community cats and educational materials to locals and tourists alike. Our lawsuit against the NPS is still ongoing, and we are exploring all avenues to protect these cats from a cruel, lethal removal plan.

Join our Worldwide Protest to Protect Puerto Rico’s cats.

Thank You for Your Dedication to Cats!

We deeply thank the incredible advocates who care for community cats and do TNR. Your community service is impactful and we’re inspired by your dedication every day!

We’re here to help your work go smoothly, as well as your interactions with neighbors and community members.
