We have some disappointing news to share. Unfortunately, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives decided not to call up H.B. 1750 for a vote. This means that Pennsylvania will not strengthen its anti-cruelty law by prohibiting human consumption of cats and dogs. This common sense bill would protect cats and dogs, and reflect the values of Pennsylvanians.
There are plans to reintroduce the bill next year, and we will continue to push for humane policies for cats in Pennsylvania, including closing this glaring loophole in anti-cruelty laws. We’ll let you know how you can take action for the cats.
Thanks to all who reached out to your elected officials. We’ll let you know how you can take action for the cats.
