The Internet Cat Video Festival was a hit! Hosted at the historic AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring, Maryland, the Festival had over 1200 attendees at two sold out screenings–and an unprecedented third after popular demand! Every screening was packed with cat lovers who not only enjoyed 75 minutes of hilarious cat videos on the big screen, but also learned about Alley Cat Allies’ quarter century of lifesaving work.
We presented the very popular Internet Cat Video Festival as part of Alley Cat Allies’ 25th anniversary celebration. We wanted to bring people together to watch the cats we all love, and also get the word out about everything Alley Cat Allies does to protect cats around the nation. Hundreds of people met our staff and got information and special Alley Cat Allies swag from our tables at the theater.
Our mascot Frank the Feral really stole the show–Festival attendees lined up to get photo-ops with him, all while sporting cat ears of their own! Festival-goers also enjoyed a Q&A with Will Braden, creator of the famous Henri, le Chat Noir videos and the curator of the Internet Cat Video Festival. You can check out photos from the event on our Facebook page.
We want to thank our sponsors and everyone who came out to the show for making the Internet Cat Video Festival a huge success!
