You may find kittens outdoors.
Please DO NOT pick them up and take them to an animal shelter. If you see mother and kittens outdoors LEAVE THEM BE®.
Kittens need their mother.
The mother cat is her kittens’ best chance at surviving.
Separating kittens younger than 8 weeks from their mother is harmful to their wellbeing. Kittens 5 weeks old and younger (neonatal kittens) are especially vulnerable and require round-the-clock care.

Don’t see the mother cat?
Don’t panic. It’s likely that she has just temporarily left her kittens in search of food. She will be back within hours.
Do the kittens appear sick or injured? Mother cat has not returned?
