The Lake County Board of Commissioners is considering a positive Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) ordinance, but they need to hear that citizens want them to pass the law. The ordinance will allow shelters to practice TNR instead of killing community cats and allow residents to practice TNR. Alley Cat Allies has been working with local law enforcement and the local shelter, they all want TNR, and we want to help support a program. But first, the ordinance needs to pass. It’s important that residents contact the commissioners and attend the public meeting on May 19.

Lake County, Florida Residents make sure your voice is heard:

  • Ask the board of commissioners to support TNR.
  • Attend the meeting Tuesday, May 19 at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Administration Building, 315 W Main St., Tavares, FL 32778. Get Directions

Trap-Neuter-Return works. Now is your chance to speak up for cats, and let the board of commissioners know how important TNR is for Lake County, and how it would save tax dollars and countless lives in your community.
