Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter

Adoption

The shelter has animals up for adoption everyday except on Sundays. The shelter requires the adopter to complete an adoption application, adoption contract, and attend an adoption class. Pictures of most of the adoption animals are posted on our website. Adoptions are $65.  

Lost and Found

The shelter takes lost animal reports and found animal reports from the public. These reports are posted on a bulletin board for customers and staff to review. 

Volunteer

Volunteers help in all areas of the shelter. Volunteers must be 18 or older and have their own health insurance.

Outreach

The shelter attends events offsite, where adoptable animals are available and educational materials are handed out.

Rabies Clinics

The shelter holds rabies clinics for the public the first Saturday of the month. Rabies Vaccinations are provided by a veterinarian for $6 per shot and Microchips are offered for $35.

Dog Training Classes

Basic dog training classes are offered at the shelter on Saturdays and Sundays.

Licenses

The shelter sells pet licenses for Baltimore City Residents.

 

Maryland SPCA

Contact Information

  1. MD SPCA has a website where individuals can post pets they need to find homes for.
  2. They also post Lost and Found pets in the Baltimore area.
